Going To Mendocino
I can’t believe it’s been such a long time since I’ve blogged. Facebook is killing my blogging ability because I usually say it all there. But one of my birthday resolutions this year is to be more consistent about blogging. Next year at this time hopefully there will be a brand new blog. I’ve got plans people! Secret, life changing, happy plans.
I can’t tell you how much I am looking forward to going to Mendocino today! Michael got us a room at the Stanford Inn a place that I have noticed as we traveled there and always thought how beautiful and peaceful it looked. So now I get to give it a try. I am very lucky that Katie adores my parents and they are coming to watch her and our two little fur kids. Let’s hear it for the Grandparents!
On this trip I’ve decided instead of doing a New Year’s resolution, to set goals for the year on my birthday. Something about that just seems more appropriate or personal than doing it at the first of the year. I’m going to work on being very specific about the goals and the steps it will take to reach them. I don’t think I’ll be so ridged that if I want to change the goal I can’t. I think I’ll be more fluid and organic about how I go about reaching the goals but nonetheless still work toward them. So… this birthday is all about setting those first goals for myself, reading “A Year by the Sea” Thoughts of an Unfinished Woman”, by Joan Anderson, breathing in all that wonderful salty seaweed tainted air, enjoying Michael and visiting some of my favorite local places.
By the way…. I would also like to send a big hug and Happy Birthday to my “Birthday Sisters”. Leah and Karen! I hope this next year is all about making the things you want and need happen in your life this year! Love you guys!
